Welcome to the SMASH Company Program, a premier training ground for musical theatre enthusiasts aged 16 and over. Designed for advanced performers with a deep passion for the stage, this year-long program offers an in-depth exploration of essential theatrical disciplines including stage directions, improvisation, theatre vocabulary, vocal techniques, and choreography. Our goal is to equip you with the comprehensive skills needed to bring vibrant musical productions to life.

Admission to this program is selective, available through audition or invitation only, ensuring a group of dedicated and experienced performers. We seek individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to the performing arts, whether through previous training at SMASH or participation in other theatrical productions.

SMASH Jr. Company

(Ages 11+)

Welcome to the SMASH Junior Company Program, tailored for young, talented performers aged 11 and up who are passionate about musical theatre. This selective program is crafted to nurture budding talents with an existing foundation in singing, acting, and formal dance training. Through a 9 month immersive curriculum, we dive into the fundamentals of musical theatre, including vocal techniques, choreography, acting skills, and stage presence.

Admission to our Jr Company is currently by invitation or audition only, ensuring that each participant is both passionate about performing and prepared to engage deeply with the comprehensive training we provide.

Students will be considered for the Junior company if:

  • They have had a minimum of 2 year experience in the SMASH Rising Stars program or 1 year plus camps.

  • They have taken, or are currently taking formal dance training from SMASH or an outside dance studio.

  • They have demonstrated strong vocal skills and the ability to bring a character to life

  • They have consistently put SMASH rehearsals and performances before all other activities.

  • Their schedules are flexible and allow for increased rehearsals before the show.
