What We Do
At SMASH Theatre Company, we specialize in nurturing a love for musical theatre through education and performance. Our programs are designed to help students develop skills in acting, singing, and dancing, all while building confidence, creativity, and lasting friendships. Whether you’re stepping onto the stage for the first time or are ready to deepen your craft, we provide opportunities to grow, learn, and shine. From short recreational classes to full-length performance programs, we guide students every step of the way as they discover the joy of musical theatre.
Performance Programs
Our comprehensive Performance Programs are designed for students aged 6 and up who are eager to immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre. Over a 10-month period, participants receive in-depth training in acting, singing, and movement through various disciplines such as improvisation, theatre sports, scene study, and dance. Our curriculum is extensive but lots of fun and culminates in a full-length musical production, allowing students to showcase their skills and hard work. We emphasize that every role is vital, teaching children and parents alike that the journey to the stage is the most rewarding part of the experience.
10-Week Recreational Programs
For those looking to explore musical theatre in a shorter timeframe, our 10-Week Recreational Programs offer an excellent opportunity. These sessions are crafted to provide a fun and engaging introduction to the performing arts, focusing on foundational skills in singing, dancing, and acting. Students will participate in mini-musicals and other performance projects, gaining confidence and a sense of accomplishment in a supportive, non-competitive environment. It's the perfect way to experience the joy of musical theatre without a long-term commitment.
Dance Classes
At SMASH, we currently offer recreational dance classes in Musical theatre, Jazz, and tap in White Rock / South Surrey. Our classes are non-competitive and open to all students 6 and up. We welcome any student who has always wanted to dance to enhance their lives with rhythm and music. Whether you are a musical theatre student wanting to supplement your experience or a new student who would just love to be a part of SMASH.
