Welcome to SMASH Sparks, the perfect place for young talents to ignite their love for musical performance! Our 9 month program, designed for students aged 6-9, offers an exciting journey into the enchanting world of musical theatre. Through a dynamic curriculum of theatre games, improv, acting, singing, and movement, we provide a comprehensive foundation for budding performers.
But here's the best part: at the end of the program, our Sparks students get to experience the thrill of performing a full-fledged Kids Musical on a grand stage with all the SMASH kids, complete with dazzling costumes, stunning set designs, mesmerizing lighting, and an audience filled with friends and family. It's a truly magical moment that brings their hard work and dedication to life, allowing them to showcase their talents and immerse themselves in the joy of performing.
*PLEASE NOTE: Participation in the final performance is not guaranteed for all Sparks students. We are only able to include children who demonstrate the ability to listen, stay calm, and remain safe and quiet on stage. If a student is not selected to perform, please know that the skills, confidence, and joy they’ve gained through Smash will stay with them—and they’ll have another opportunity to shine next year!
Step into the spotlight with our Rising Stars Program! This 9 month program is specially designed for enthusiastic students aged 9-13 who are passionate about the captivating world of musical theatre. While there are no specific admission requirements, we do encourage students to have some experience with singing and dancing. This prior exposure lays a solid foundation and enriches the learning experience within the Rising Stars Program.
With the guidance of our dedicated instructors, students will learn stage directions, improv skills, theatre vocabulary, singing techniques, and choreography. They'll gain a comprehensive understanding of all the elements that contribute to a sensational musical performance! At the end of the season, the Rising Stars will have the opportunity to bring a Kids Version of a musical to life on a mainstage!
Get ready to take musical theatre skills to the next level with our Senior Mainstage Program at. This program is specifically designed for students aged 14-17 who have a deep love for musical theatre.
During this 9 month program, students embark on an exciting journey where they learn stage directions, improv skills, theatre vocabulary, singing techniques, and choreography. We cover every aspect of what goes into creating a sensational musical, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the craft. Our dedicated SMASH instructors are here to support and guide every step of the way, helping everyone grow as performers and discover their true potential. At the end of the program, all students have the opportunity to showcase their talent on the mainstage in a Junior Production. It's an experience that will leave a lasting impression and create memories to cherish.
Our Company programs are intensive performance programs designed for students who are serious about pursuing musical theatre at the highest level. While maintaining the same exceptional quality of instruction and performance opportunities as all SMASH programs, Company students demonstrate their commitment by prioritizing SMASH Theatre in their schedules and dedicating additional hours to advanced classes, intensive rehearsals, and comprehensive skill development. These programs are perfect for dedicated young performers ready to immerse themselves fully in the craft of musical theatre, working alongside like-minded peers who share their passion and commitment to excellence.
